Candle Safety and Tips

  • Always keep a burning candle within sight. Extinguish if you are leaving the room or going to sleep.
  • Do not burn a candle near anything that can easily catch fire like curtains, bedding, books, papers, or anything flammable.
  • Keep burning candles out of reach for children and pets.
  • Trim wick to around 1/8 of an inch. Because our wicks are 100% braided cotton, they do not need to be much longer than this before being lit to burn effectively.
  • For optimal burn, keep all and any lit candles away from vents, drafts, ceiling fans and air currents. This will prevent uneven burn and soot.
  • Never touch or move a lit candle as the container is hot.
  • Extinguish a candle if it smokes or the flame gets too high. This simply means that the wick is too long. Remember it must always be trimmed before lighting. If this happens simply trim the wick.
