Have you checked in with yourself?

Hello, 11:11 family!

I hope you have had an amazing week. I can say on my end that these past couple of weeks have been hectic. Transitioning from “summer vacation” mode to “back to school” mode has not been easy for me. I can imagine it hasn’t been easy for you either. Even if you don’t have kids in school, just the added traffic alone has been a hassle.

In hectic and stressful times, it is so easy for us to forget the most simple thing: checking in with yourself. I am a big believer in the saying, “ You cant pour from an empty cup.” Being the best version of yourself to the world and other people starts with caring for the most important person of all, yourself.

This is a gentle reminder for you to do something that helps you relax and de-stress this weekend. I know weekends are usually filled with errands and projects, but set aside some time to do something you really want to do. It could even be as simple as taking 30 minutes to read a book or even a face mask.

What have I been doing for myself.

When I lay down to sleep and I finally close my eyes, I practice gratitude. I am thankful for the wonderful things that happened today. Even if it was a shitty day, I still find something to be thankful for. The universe loves gratitude, so practicing gratitude and going to sleep with a grateful heart calls in more blessings.

With back to school and curfews, the kids have been going to sleep earlier than usual, which gives me the opportunity to have some time to myself after they have gone to bed. Usually, I catch up on my favorite shows or even take a bubble bath. I splurged on a beautiful luxurious soap and light our mega candle and this has been my new favorite self care ritual.

While the kids are in school I also have a little time during the day to go to the gym and this week I went to get my eyebrows done. I know it is such a simple and small thing to do, but for some reason it made me feel like myself again. You don’t have to do anything complicated to treat yourself.

I hope you have a beautiful weekend.🤍

XOXO
