It has been a while and I hope you have been doing amazing! I have been so incredibly busy with future plans (stay tuned) but I had a chance to write a blog post today. I wanted to share with you some small rituals and things I have been loving lately.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I am always on the hunt for great hair care. Currently, my hair is super long and I have been investing more in quality hair care. I also tend to lean on good ol’ fashion natural ingredients. I have been combining the two and I just had to let you in on my secret. While I haven’t found a great shampoo/conditioner combo that I am obsessed with, I wanted to share with you an inexpensive way to give a little extra love to your hair. ROSEMARY WATER! Yes, I have been making my own rosemary water and I am going to show you what I do.

I am lucky to have a beautiful rosemary plant in a pot in my backyard. You can find rosemary at your local plant shop, as it is a common herb. Some grocery stores may carry it as well. If you don’t want to commit to a plant, you can also purchased sprigs of it at the grocery store, that will do the trick as well.

I took a couple of branches and I dropped them in a small pot on my stove to boil. The key is to boil the rosemary to extract all of its beneficial properties.

I boiled the rosemary for about 10-15 minutes. After that, the water will have a slight tint of green/olive color, that’s when you turn the heat off.

Once the liquid has cooled, I removed the rosemary branches and leaves and discarded them and I transferred the liquid to a spray bottle.

I have linked the spray bottle I purchased for my rosemary water ( Click the picture for link)

I store my rosemary water in my fridge until it is time to wash my hair. The key is, you use your regular shampoo, your regular conditioner, rinse it all off. Finally, you spray your rosemary water all over your hair. I start at my scalp and work my way down. I concentrate mostly on my scalp and massage it. Do not rinse!  I usually just wrap my hair in a towel and brush it out later.
I am entering my long haired mermaid era!

I hope you try this and let me know!

A friend of mine on Instagram, Hayley, had been promoting her products and I decided to give it a try. I purchased the Monat Moisturize and Replenish body wash. I am loving it so far and my skin is too. The texture is great and it creates a rich lather. I also love the fact that you don’t need to use a lot of it.

I wanted to share with you a trick that I have been obsessed with lately and that is spraying my towels with our room & body mist. I have been using the zen fragrance, since we are on the verge of spring. It features orange blossom, cannabis flower, and mint. It is so amazing and fresh. I also have been using the beach fragrance in the cabana bathroom. I just adore the smell of coconut!

Finally, I was at the drug store the other day and I came across a product that I just love. As a woman, there are parts of my body I have to learn to embrace. I know that there are a lot of people out there with body image issues. One of the areas I like to give a little extra love to is my abdomen. I am always doing coffee scrubs and natural remedied to improve skin texture and elasticity. I came across a skin firming and toning lotion from Nivea ( you can shop by clicking the picture). I use it twice a day after I shower and I love it so far. The consistency feels like it is water based and you skin absorbs it quickly.

I hope you enjoy my sharing this with you in hopes that you may find something useful.

XOXO
