Get the most out of your candles!

When you purchase a candle, you want to make sure you get the most out of it. I mean, you did spend your money, you might as well get as much enjoyment out of it as possible. For me, there is nothing more frustrating than spending money on something and it now turning out the way I was expecting it to. In this blog post, I will talk about how to get the most out of your candle. Please note, the following pictures are not 11:11 Candles!

When you first buy a candle and are getting ready to light it, you want to make sure that you burn it until the melted wax reaches the edge of the container, otherwise it could start to tunnel.

This is not a picture of our product, but this is a great example of tunneling. The candle will burn forming a tunnel down the center of it. It will burn out very quickly and you will have a lot of left over wax that didn’t burn. Please keep in kind, this could also be just a candle that was made poorly or didn’t have the right formula.

Another tip you must keep in mind is trimming your wick! I cannot stress this enough. TRIM THOSE WICKS! This makes all the difference. After each burn, the wick on your candle must be trimmed to get the best possible burn and to prevent soot.

Again, this is not our product but another great example of a wick that is in desperate need of some trimming. If your wick looks like this, trim the wick to about 1/4 of an inch to get rid of all of that excess wick material. Doing this will prevent soot around the glass and prevent black smoke.

These are a couple of great and fundamental tips for your candles! I really hope you found this helpful! Just relax and enjoy your candles!

XOXO
